The Product Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new products and suppliers from concept through launch. This role supports the broader product development process by ensuring competitive sourcing, accurate costing, and the successful introduction of new UPLIFT-designed products. This position reports to the VP of Product Development and collaborates closely with Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, buying, procurement, or product development
  • Experience working with international or domestic suppliers
  • Understanding of global sourcing processes, logistics, and import considerations
  • Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling and margin assessment
  • High attention to detail with strong system/data management capability

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sourcing, buying or product development experience
  • Experience in supplier management and negotiation
  • Familiarity with HTS classifications and tariff structures
  • ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • Advanced Excel or data analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Support new product development by sourcing high-quality components, materials, and finished goods that meet UPLIFT’s design, quality, and cost standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new domestic and international suppliers
  • Conduct competitive market analysis and cost benchmarking for new product initiatives
  • Request and evaluate samples for new product development
  • Analyze total landed cost to ensure accurate pricing, margin targets, and cost competitiveness
  • Lead cost analysis and pricing recommendations for newly developed products
  • Create new product item records, ensuring all required data is complete and accurate
  • Partner with suppliers to obtain product specifications, compliance documentation, and packaging details
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to support a smooth product onboarding process
