About The Position

Wolters Kluwer DXG U.S., Inc. seeks a Product Software Engineer IV in Riverwoods, IL. The role involves conducting Development Lead tasks such as mentoring and assisting team members with database troubleshooting, developing and supporting SQL software, and conducting DBA related tasks like restoring backups. The engineer will analyze query plans, tune and improve performance of existing queries, improve indexing, and document specific recommendations. Additionally, the position requires conducting code reviews of SQL code using Azure Pull Requests, developing documentation around, and evangelizing, standards and processes, and supporting and validating regular SQL builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
• 7 years of experience in TSQL querying, performance tuning, and indexing for performance & concurrency.
• Data analysis skills.
• Microsoft SQL Server database troubleshooting and deadlock resolution.
• Database TSQL code reviews.
