Job Purpose The Product Sr. Specialist plays a key role in driving business-focused initiatives for Connected Services. This position emphasizes strategic business planning, pricing, and performance analysis to support Honda’s digital mobility roadmap. Additionally, it combines product ownership with strong business acumen to deliver customer value and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally with a major in Business Administration, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in product management, business analysis, or related roles in technology, automotive, connected car, or IoT sectors
  • Problem Solving: Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and work at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously
  • Self-Driven: Ability to work independently and respond rapidly in a fast-changing environment
  • Results-Oriented: High level of attention to detail while maintaining vision of the larger business objectives and meeting company goals

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, engineers, marketing, and sales to align business goals
  • Presentation Skills: Deliver compelling presentations to executives and internal teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead business and customer-focused aspects of Connected Services (such as HondaLink and AcuraLink), while assisting in managing automobile app initiatives
  • Support creation of business requirements and documentation (BRDs)
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of features
  • Identify, improve, and propose ways to build value for our Connected Services that are aligned with Honda’s goals and strategy
  • Ensure product requirements are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders
  • Research customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings
  • Analyze, create, and monitor subscription metrics and product performance to prepare reports for decision-making up to management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned product features, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap
  • Drive coordination between design, engineering, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on time
  • Monitor progress against milestones and proactively identify risks or blockers, escalating as needed
  • Support backlog grooming and sprint planning activities related to our Connected Services to maintain development efficiency
  • Assist in monitoring KPIs and subscription performance
  • Assist in creating and monitoring customer sentiment and behavior
  • Support pricing and profitability analysis under guidance from senior team members
  • Help identify potential partners and assist in preparing proposals
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for project execution
