Product Security Engineer

The Product Security Engineer will implement and monitor key security controls across CHG Healthcare's multi-brand technology portfolio. As a Product Security Engineer on the ISP team you will identify end-of-life systems, conduct security architecture reviews, and implement log aggregation and correlation across critical infrastructure. This role will report to the Sr. Manager Application Security.
Requirements
- Strong technical understanding of security architecture, secure coding practices, and cloud security
- Experience conducting security architecture reviews and threat modeling
- Knowledge of SIEM, log aggregation, and security monitoring technologies
- Ability to creatively leverage AI tools to enhance security workflows and scale assessments
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- 5+ years of experience in product security, application security, or security engineering roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, or cloud security certifications
- Experience with security automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Responsibilities
- Identify and track end-of-life (EOL) systems across critical and high-priority systems, ensuring timely remediation
- Conduct security architecture reviews for relevant epics and new system deployments, providing technical guidance
- Verify and implement security log aggregation and correlation across critical infrastructure for comprehensive visibility
- Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to scale security assessments across CHG's technology portfolio
- Support roadmap deliverables focused on building resilient security capabilities
