About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced Product Review Engineer to become part of the F/A-18 Complex Spares Team in Hazelwood, MO. F/A-18 Complex Spares Team is responsible for supporting production and repair of F/A-18 Complex Spares. It is also responsible for growing our business into more opportunities for F/A-18 E/F components The selected Product Review Engineer will apply knowledge of design principals to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of experience do you have with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE), material review activities and engineering corrective actions
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience do you have with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE), material review activities and engineering corrective actions
  • Experience do you have with aircraft maintenance, maintenance concepts development and sustainment, repair, overhaul environments, procedures, warranty processes and contractual agreements
  • Production Engineering Experience
  • Military Aircraft Experience
  • Experience with 3D Design software, such as Unigraphics NX, SolidWorks and/or CATIA

Responsibilities

  • Apply broad knowledge of Boeing design and engineering principles.
  • Assess and resolve product and process issues through the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement product and process improvement.
  • Lead research of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and design interim and final engineering solutions.
  • Lead development of interim and final solutions.
  • Lead others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations.
  • Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues; recommend and manage complex resolution.
  • Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
  • Represent the engineering community in the build through postproduction environment.
  • Ensure supplier and build partner are compliant with Boeing standards.
  • Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Lead and support activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigations.
  • Design appropriate jacking and shoring schemes.
  • Lead the design of interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
  • Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers.
