Come be the change! We are looking for a Product Quality Tester in Tobaccoville, NC. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor and does not have any direct reports. The role involves performing visual and physical inspections, conducting quality audits, reporting non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with quality specifications. The tester will also be responsible for monitoring oven calibrations, operating within various quality systems, and ensuring timely communication regarding product non-conformances. Additionally, the role requires compliance with FDA regulatory training and adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies.

  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and perform various duties.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer applications, systems and programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard Quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • WorkKeys: Applied Math Level 3, Workplace Documents Level 3, Graphic Literacy Level 3, Workplace Observation Level 2.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LIMS, VIDES, SAP, MES, and Pilgrim.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of TPMP requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and physical inspections to ensure proper materials are being used.
  • Perform various Quality audits on the required shift to verify products are within Quality specifications.
  • Report all non-conformances from normal practices and procedures by means of Quality Control reports.
  • Perform round oven moisture testing (pack moisture) and report results including out-of-spec non-conformances.
  • Monitor round oven calibrations (pack moisture) and report negative trends for corrective action daily.
  • Accurately operate within the following Quality systems: LIMS, VIDES, MES, Pilgrim, and SAP.
  • Perform Pack Seal checks and document results, as required.
  • Collect samples for analytical testing, which includes routine and 'test' samples, as required.
  • Ensure timely communication to Management regarding product non-conformances.
  • Complete required FDA regulatory training.
  • Be aware of the Company environmental, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives as it relates to the role.
