About The Position

The In-Process Quality Inspection Technician for our Magnetic Resonance Imaging business is responsible for performing a variety of quality inspection and documentation tasks during the manufacturing process to help reduce defects and increase product quality consistency. This role involves measuring parts and tools accurately using appropriate tools and guidelines, conducting quality inspections in SAP for inventory tracking, ensuring equipment calibration and maintenance, and documenting inspection results clearly following Good Documentation Practices. The technician will also collaborate with teams, participate in audits, report quality issues, and suggest improvements. This is an onsite, full-time position on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:20 PM to 11:30 PM, located in Latham, NY.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection.
  • Experience with simple measurement and calibration tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Experience with simple measurements and document measurements.
  • Experience with inspections and audits in some capacity (Welding inspections, pressure testing, hydro testing, HIPOT testing, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledgeable about metrology, materials, calibration, auditing and inspection techniques with demonstrated ability to utilize relevant hand tools for these purposes (micrometers, calipers, and other simple hand tools).
  • High School Diploma, Vocational Education, or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, medical device).
  • Experience inspecting with Coordinate Measuring Machine’s (CMM).
  • Experience with SAP, Windchill, and MS Office.
  • Quality inspection experience or hands-on mechanical aptitude skills.
  • Associate’s degree or higher.
