What You Drive at DTNA · Interpret work from shop aids, drawings, customer specifications, engineering and production specifications. · Select and assemble pieces in a predetermined order based on documentation. · Install and fasten items and assemble truck components as documentation dictates · Assembles or installs standard mechanical components, sub-assemblies or systems. · Visually checks parts for obvious defects and damage. · Positions, mounts and fastens items to specific location and verifies completion and quality of work to DTNA standards. · This position requires working periodically under a chassis and reaching above your head for extended periods of time. · This position has the responsibility of performing any of the flowing jobs: completing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems installations as well as replacing glass components and testing and charging AC systems with the assistance of documentation and be willing to work overtime as required. · Every job performed should always be documented on the Work Order with all details for Team leader review and supervisor approval

Requirements

  • Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and solve production, quality, and engineering issues
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Must be able to access and understand assembly prints and engineering drawings
  • Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools, able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 45 pounds
  • Must work in a safe manner, maintain a clean work area, meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures introduced to the job
  • Cross-train and complete other jobs as required
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
