About The Position

Come join our GTE Financial team! We are looking for an organized, detailed oriented individual to join as a Product Promotion Specialist. Product Promotion Specialist plays a key role in educating and supporting internal staff to increase sales of GTE Financials’ ancillary products, including but not limited to GAP, Depreciation Protection, Extended Warranty, Home Protection Plan, and Debt Protection. This role is the go-to resource for coaching, sales performance tracking, and quality control, ensuring that products are presented accurately and effectively to members. What does GTE look for as a Product Promotion Specialist? Employee Coaching & Support: Provide regular coaching and training to internal employees on all ancillary products. Serve as the first point of contact for product sales questions, troubleshooting, or additional coaching needs. Visit each Community Financial Center for in-person coaching sessions. Sales Tracking & Reporting: Generate, analyze, and distribute daily and weekly sales reports to all CFC staff. Track and communicate individual and team sales numbers. Assist management with reporting needs and support during high-volume reporting periods. Quality Control & Compliance: Review and validate all ancillary product sales documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Address and resolve documentation errors in a timely manner. Sales Outreach & Follow-Up: Conduct sales for Extended Warranty and GAP Depreciation Protection based on targeted reports. Send follow-up communications to members who did not purchase Extended Warranty or GAP at loan funding. Make outbound calls and send targeted emails to members to promote and sell ancillary products not purchased at the time of initial loan funding. Operational: Maintain open and consistent dialogue with the internal team on referral status, goals, and evolving services. Ability to create status reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals are required. Works with the internal Talent department on various CUSO training initiatives including NEO and lending product training. Ensures the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding CUIS, the Credit Union, its members, and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics. High level of understanding of our products and offerings along with how to market them to our membership. Displays keen ability for both mass communications and interpersonal discussions. Tracks and prepares reports on sales and marketing efforts to develop unique strategies and builds upon current strategies to meet/exceed objectives. Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act

Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Contributes to a positive teamwork environment which encourages team commitment to corporate, division, and departmental goals.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, all state, managerial and executive staff, members, the board, vendors and government regulators.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Min 3 years of experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to travel locally for Community Financial Center visits.
  • Required for Remote/Hybrid Work: A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to your members.
  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
