About The Position

OXMAN is a nature-based research and design company based in Manhattan. We incubate ventures and technologies that reimagine the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Working across disciplines—from architecture and ecology to computation and materials science—we develop nature-centric solutions to critical environmental challenges. EDEN EDEN is a digital design environment for engineering and designing ecosystems—modeling the flows, relationships, and processes that sustain them, while bridging ecology and technology to enable the creation of resilient landscapes. We develop tools that quantify how landscapes can be engineered to achieve specific performance goals—cooling cities, filtering water, sequestering carbon, protecting key species—and then use those tools to guide the design of ecologically active sites. EDEN operates as both a design and innovation practice and an emerging software product. Today, our work spans strategic partnerships with developers, project-based design and analytics engagements, and the development of a software platform that packages our internal tools for broader use across the architecture, landscape architecture, and development industries. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, and technically fluent Product & Project Development Lead to help EDEN advance to its next phase of growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how a new category of ecological design technology is brought to market—through partnerships, product strategy, market development, and translating client needs into scalable offerings. As EDEN grows, we are seeking a leader who can identify and develop new opportunities across both projects and products, build enduring business relationships, and help define the commercial path for a new kind of platform at the intersection of design, ecology, and technology. Role Overview OXMAN is seeking a Product & Project Development Lead to drive EDEN's growth through strategic partnerships, client development, and product commercialization. This role sits at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and market-facing leadership—shaping how EDEN identifies opportunities, builds relationships, structures engagements, and translates real-world demand into product direction. The Head of Commercial Strategy & Product will help define go-to-market strategy, grow key accounts and partnerships, lead customer and market discovery, and establish the commercial frameworks that connect EDEN’s design services, R&D efforts, and software platform. The ideal candidate has experience scaling an early-stage or growth-stage software product, ideally in AEC, climate, geospatial, design technology, or adjacent industries. They must be able to operate comfortably in a small, fast-moving, interdisciplinary team while engaging credibly with developers, designers, technical teams, and executive stakeholders. This person should be equally capable of pursuing strategic opportunities, refining commercial models, and helping shape product direction through rigorous market and user insight. This role is highly cross-functional and externally facing, working closely with leadership, engineering, research, and design teams to ensure that EDEN’s partnerships, services, and software evolve in a coherent and commercially strategic way.

  • Ability to conduct and synthesize market research, user research, and customer discovery
  • Ability to develop pricing, packaging, segmentation, and go-to-market strategies for B2B software
  • Technical fluency sufficient to engage effectively with software engineers, computational designers, and research teams
  • Ability to translate client needs and project insights into product requirements and strategic priorities
  • Ability to build and manage business development pipelines, account strategies, and opportunity tracking systems
  • Strong presentation, proposal-writing, and commercial narrative development skills
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive
  • Strong commercial judgment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect near-term opportunities to long-term business goals
  • Excellent relationship builder and external communicator

  • Comfortable operating across business, product, technical, and design contexts
  • Credible, polished, and confident in client-facing settings
  • Collaborative and cross-functional in working style
  • Systems-oriented and able to identify repeatable value in bespoke work
  • Mission-aligned and energized by work at the intersection of ecology, design, and technology
