About The Position

The pricing analyst is responsible for determining the price of new and existing products by evaluating cost, marketplace, competitor data, economic conditions, volume, and quality of the product, as well as market positioning. He/She will execute and manage pricing strategy on product lines / customer accounts by following the pricing process, policy, DOA and business rules to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. With the accumulated knowledge of pricing system/tools, advanced pricing analysis will be expected to be delivered by this role to assist pricing manager and pricing stakeholders (such as Product Management, Sales, Customer Care etc.) to address operational issue, achieving business objectives and drive for improvement in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in preferably a commercial, financial or technical direction or relevant professional experience
  • 4+ years of experience in pricing or equivalent type role
  • Sound skills in MS Office packages Word and PowerPoint; Strong MS Excel
  • Advancing systems skills (Pricing Software, Excel, Access, SAP, Tableau Server)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for price management of specific direct or indirect accounts including daily RFQ and annual price/agreement review
  • Monitor agreement performance and work with Sales/PM team to drive the performance improvement
  • Identify & drive for solutions for low margin business
  • Identify and investigate transactional pricing leakage
  • Harvesting data from additional sources
  • Understand and use Tableau and other software to manage data
  • Applying market/supply chain insights and rules into pricing decisions
  • Playbooks/Strategy development for key customers/products
