About The Position

The Planner plays a key role in our assembly/daily sales. This position requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats is required.

Requirements

Associates Degree and/or two years’ experience in a manufacturing setting preferred (or a combination of both)
Possesses a fundamental understanding of the relationship between products, sales, marketing and the account base
Familiarity with manufacturing platforms is preferred (AR-15 & AK-47 variants).
Working knowledge of Magento Enterprise Edition and NetSuite ERP
Strong customer service acumen
Effective communication skills with all levels of the business and be able to reconcile differences in understanding and vision
Data Entry Management, Reporting, Analytical skills, aggressive negotiation skills, and mathematical skills required
Self-motivated, strong planning, and organizational skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Must have strong Microsoft Excel abilities
Must be patient, persistent, and have problem solving skills
Be creative with an ability to think “outside of the box”
Must be able to manage conflict
Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly and timely
Ability to network across the company effectively and maintain good working relationship with all departments and employees

Responsibilities

Correlates forecasts and demand to develop a production plan
Analyze and assess the market making educated and strategic releases of work orders to meet demand
Forecast, track and achieve inventory levels and turn projections
Completes additional training, as necessary, for on-going self-improvement
Initiates continuous process improvements
Ensures that adequate inventory and safety stock levels are maintained
Assist in material data and organization ensuring the inventory turnover rate is within company standards and all products remain profitable
Create new product SKU’s, Release Work Orders, take Pictures, and input information on the website.
Adhere and contribute to company procurement strategy
Plans production based on internal forecasts and customer demand
Works with other managers, directors and executives within the company thru proper channels to engage in capital projects
Monitors changes in the industry and develops forecasts based on those changes
Use forecasts to develop comprehensive strategies to further the company’s operational goals
Monitor prices by product and vendor to predict and account for financial fluctuations
Coordinates with other departments to overcome or prevent shortfalls
Assist in the organization of promotional events at trade shows or other venues, as well as coordination with staff to ensure prompt delivery of materials and merchandise.
