About The Position

Responsible for working with Agile Product Managers and other stakeholders to define stories and prioritize the team backlog in support of the product roadmap. Responsible for supporting the organization's mission, operations, structure, and goals and for streamlining the execution of program priorities in support of business agility and product market trends. Maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the features and components of the team and maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the product or agile team. Collaborate with business management on multiple products with business knowledge to identify short and long-term business priorities using Lean-Agile thinking and represent the voice of the customer. Embrace a holistic approach to analysis that focuses on the way that a system's constituent parts interrelate and how systems work overtime and within the context of larger systems. Utilize Six Sigma tools and lean methodologies including value stream mapping to mitigate risks and to ensure the systems meet functional and performance requirements. Lead IT projects applying SAFe principals including Program Increment Planning sessions and structured epic and feature management to design and construct high-quality technical solutions. Practice Lean-Agile leadership and be heavily involved in program backlog refinement, preparation for program increment planning, and participating in planning events. Apply behavior-driven development (BDD) to guide development, decrease rework, and increase flow. Assess and support decision rules that align to the financial objectives of the Solution to guide the economic decision-making process utilizing knowledge with Lean Portfolio Management and Economic Framework. Primary source for story detail and priorities in iteration planning and establish story acceptance criteria. Understand the scope of enabler work and collaborate with the system and solution architects/engineering to assist decisions and sequencing of technology enablers. Develop strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices. Establish and maintain the balance of scope, schedule and resources for projects using experience with project management. Identify, refine, prioritize and sequence backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related field and 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business or Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or related position.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related field and 5 years of experience in a related position.
  • Experience with Lean-Agile system thinking and voice of the customer.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and lean methodologies including value stream mapping.
  • Experience with Lean-Agile and SAFe principles.
  • Experience in technical solution design.
  • Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management and Economic Framework.
  • Experience with Business Relationship Management practices.
  • Experience in Agile project management.
  • Experience with Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF).
