About The Position

Position Summary : Responsible for acting as a proxy for our customers to define and prioritize stories, and prioritizing team backlog so as to streamline the execution of projects; define story acceptance criteria and accept stories as done once they meet the technical integrity and quality required; liaise closely with Software Developers, Release Manager, Certification, Sales and Operation stakeholders, and UIUX, System Integration Testing and Technical Documentation teams.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred in computer science or engineering.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in an Agile environment.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working as a QA Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner/Manager or commensurate experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze data and make determinations from it for problem resolution.
  • Ability to establish and maintain business and customer relationships.
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify potential solutions and preventive measures.
  • Occasional travel may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the elections industry or experience with elections is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily administration and management of Product/Team JIRA Project - Backlog and Sprint prioritization and management, Ticket accuracy
  • Organization and facilitation of key team milestone meetings - Sprint planning/Review/Demo/Retrospectives
  • Monitoring incoming support request and issue report tickets, and providing appropriate updates on actions taken
  • Implement incident management techniques so that team's response to critical issues is practiced and automatic.
  • Steering of team's priorities based on Roadmap information provided by the Release Management function.
  • Provide recommendations for the mid-to-long term product roadmap, based on team's input and own experience/vision.
  • Identification of key deficiencies and weak points in the product and identification of Roadmap opportunities to address them.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the development team in any product development related discussion with Sales, Operations, Certification and other development teams.
  • Bridge the gap in communication and guide everyone on using common language
  • Communication of development plan for short-to-mid term future - identification and high level description of enhancements to the product
  • Analysis of incoming requirements and requests; working together with Software Architect on defining complete user stories in JIRA, which can be understood by all stakeholders. Where necessary, seek for clarification of requirements by working with the Architect(s) to formulate the appropriate question(s) for the stakeholder(s).
  • Understanding of assigned products’ usability and how upcoming work can affect the usability.
  • Validation of finished stories against the defined acceptance criteria.
  • Coordination of all necessary documentation updates, and review of updated documents for accuracy
  • Identification of inter dependencies with other products, and effect of new feature on existing functionality
  • Coordination of all necessary estimation requests with the Software Architect and the team.
  • Management of release notes per product/component for each build/release. Ensure architects have reviewed/approved release note detail.
  • Working closely with IT, Product Management, Hardware and Configuration Management to ensure key technology infrastructure is in place for new features.
