About The Position

The Senior Associate Product Owner plays a critical role in shaping and delivering the Client Lifecycle Management Platform by translating the product vision into clear, actionable deliverables. This role requires deep collaboration with internal partners—including Operations, UX, and Technology—to ensure the product strategy reflects user needs, operational realities, and technical capabilities. The Product Owner manages and prioritizes the product backlog, establishes acceptance criteria, and guides the squad through the development lifecycle using Agile principles. They actively engage cross‑functional partners to gather insights, validate requirements, and drive alignment on design, process improvements, and technical implementation. Success in this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to influence and build relationships across the organization, and comfort challenging existing processes. The Product Owner ensures strategic alignment, identifies risks and dependencies, and brings the voice of the client into every phase of product development. The Product Owner should have keen analytical, partner management, and presentation skills to draft and explain observations, recommendations, and business requirements to internal and external partners for alignment. The Product Owner Senior Associate will be comfortable challenging established norms by asking probing questions and paying close attention to detail. In addition, the Product Owner will lead the squad to drive key re-imagination and transformational efforts, bringing key partners together to drive consensus on how best to organize teams and deploy new processes and innovative tools that minimize manual processing risk, effectively manage data, and enhance the client experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Exhibit strong understanding of Agile Software Development (primarily Scrum and Kanban) principles and techniques
  • Understand and use applicable work management tools (i.e. JIRA) for decision making and collaboration
  • Drive creative and problem-solving activity with all participants and partners
  • Knowledge of financial services operations, in particular Post Trade Processing, trends and user demands
  • Complete the Product Vision and effectively translate into Product Roadmap and Backlog items to deliver the highest value

Responsibilities

  • Translate the product vision and the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plans
  • Create and refine the backlog of user stories with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready (preparation for development)
  • Establish story acceptance criteria and lead the squad's backlog by accepting or rejecting the backlog items, according to acceptance criteria during each sprint
  • Seek feedback from partners and clients and incorporate into future backlog items
  • Bring the voice of the client (external/internal) into the squad
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners to identify issues, risks, and dependencies, and maintain alignment to achieve product strategy
  • Incorporate and prioritize technical work to deliver on release objectives
  • Improve product value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of changing scope on budget and estimates
  • Attend and participate in all squad meetings (sprint and release events)
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavio
