About The Position

The VBP Product Owner at Risant Health leads the strategy and lifecycle management of the Value-based Platform (VBP) solution portfolio, aligning closely with business and clinical leadership. This role ensures the delivery of solutions that meet customer, clinician, and consumer needs, drive key business outcomes, and position Risant Health as a leader in value-based care in the U.S. health market. The VBP Product Owner is responsible for translating customer, clinician, and consumer needs into actionable product requirements and guiding the development of high-quality value-based care solutions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage product backlogs, define user stories, support sprint execution, and ensure successful product delivery. Reporting to the VBP Head of Product, the Product Owner plays a key role in aligning product development with strategic goals and enhancing user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, Social Science, or related field OR four (4) additional years directly related experience
  • Five (5) years as a Product Owner or similar role in Agile software development/ delivery environments.
  • Five (5) years working with agile teams, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile best practices.

  • Product Development & Strategy: Proven experience developing and executing product roadmaps with a focus on user experience and clinical outcomes. Skilled in drafting KPIs and applying prioritization frameworks to guide decision-making.
  • Agile & Product Management Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and product management best practices. Background in roles such as Product Analyst or Business Analyst, with hands-on experience in user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Tools & Platforms Proficiency: Proficient in product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Mural, Miro, and TestFlight.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Shapes and communicates a clear product vision aligned with business goals and customer needs. Translates this vision into OKRs and a prioritized roadmap using frameworks like DVF, balancing stakeholder input, market trends, and technical feasibility.
  • Backlog & Requirements Management: Owns and maintains the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Manager, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. Ensures clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business value using tools like Jira.
  • Sprint Execution & Delivery: Leads sprint planning and execution by preparing stories, clarifying requirements, and supporting development and QA teams. Reviews completed work, gathers feedback, and ensures delivery aligns with goals and specifications.
  • User Experience & Design: Partners with design teams to ensure intuitive, user-centered experiences that meet the needs of clinicians, patients, and other users, while championing UX best practices throughout the development process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Acts as a liaison between cross-functional teams (clinical, engineering, data, legal, etc.) and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and timely updates on product plans, milestones, and decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Analyzes product performance using data and insights to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with analytics teams to track impact and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Go-to-Market Support: Contributes to go-to-market planning for new product launches and feature releases, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective communication of product value.
