About The Position

Collaborate to create product vision and alignment of strategic priorities with stakeholders for Compass, Clipper, and Liberator applications. Contributes to the development of portfolio vision. Communicates product and portfolio vision to their squad/team and other squads/teams outside their portfolio/functional area. Utilize GenAI tools like LibertyGPT to perform data analysis, interpret market trends, and extract insights from customer feedback to build product strategy, roadmap and iterative enhancements. Collaborate with Actuarial and Business teams to gather and define product requirements and implement configurations in the iRate rating engine across LOBs With the squad/team, collaboratively accountable for developing and achieving product level KPIs. Manages product(s) with a moderate degree of strategy, scope, and complexity. Owns and maintains the product backlog and is accountable for its contents and prioritization. Accountable for clear, actionable user stories. Sets priorities and actively participates in squad/team quarterly planning. Collaborate with more senior Product Owners to set priorities for portfolio quarterly planning. Sets expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities. Participates in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies. Works daily with the agile working group, clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy. Collaborates with IT and business leadership to align development and business goals and priorities while working with stakeholders and squad/team to remove roadblocks to execution. Resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently. Monitors and maintains the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long and short term and costs with desired outcomes. Contribute to the software development lifecycle and support application monitoring through automation tools. Analyzes and reports on feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product. Understands regulations, compliance, and other industry constraints on the product and prioritizes accordingly. Negotiates with internal and external squads/teams to ensure priorities are aligned across squads/teams both within and outside the portfolio. Collaboratively builds the squad/team product roadmap, contributes to strategy inputs from stakeholders. May contribute to program/portfolio level planning. Influences stakeholder expectations for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities. Communicates expected value and any changes in value to be delivered in each iteration (sprint, monthly, quarterly, etc.) based on the squad/team-determined capacity. Leads customer-driven design and usability testing for the squad/team. Collaborates on CDD and UT across the portfolio. Ensure a well-positioned product through market and industry analysis. Leads the User Acceptance testing and Quality Engineering process by providing test plan, strategy, scenarios and developing automation test suite across different environments. Domestic travel required up to 10%. Telecommuting permitted up to 60%

Requirements

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered in a Product Owner II-related occupation.
  • Position requires 7 years of experience in business, technology, or consulting.
  • Position requires 7 years of extensive experience leading cross-functional and Agile teams which demonstrate driving collaboration and delivering results.
  • Position requires 3 years of direct working experience with tools including JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, and Commercial Insurance Quote creation and Policy lifecycle applications developed using technologies including Java, SpringBoot, Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Position also requires demonstrable experience in the following: Agile development methodologies and IT project management.
  • Working within Agile teams.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the Insurance Quote and Policy lifecycle, including General Liability, Auto, and Worker’s Compensation lines of business.
  • Working with enterprise insurance products, including GuideWire and Duck Creek.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with actuaries, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define product requirements and roadmaps, ensuring operational efficiency and success by applying Safe Agile principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated effective hands-on experience with CI/CD DevOps tools and technologies including Bamboo and GitHub Actions for automated builds and deployments and integrates with powerful project management tools including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with leveraging in-house developed generative AI tools to study market trends and customer feedback to prioritize a customer-centric approach, focus on delivering value, and leverage data to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technical, business, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage IT services through ITSM while maintaining system stability and reliability using observability tools including New Relic, DataDog and Splunk.
  • Commercial Insurance Quote and Policy lifecycle management, including business workflows including New Business, Endorsement, Mid-Term, Audit, Renewal, and Composite setup transactions across Commercial Auto, General Liability, and Workers' Compensation lines of business.
  • Clearly communicating complex ideas, challenges, and designs to a variety of audiences, and skilled in educating departments or strategic business units about business objectives, plans, and the impact of change.
  • Demonstrated proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience with User Acceptance testing and Quality Engineering process using API or Service automation testing tools including Ready API, and Postman; UI automation tools including Protractor; and Robotic Process Automation tools including Blueprism.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
