As a Product Owner II within the PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Brecksville, OH; Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Kalamazoo, MI; Denver; CO or Dallas, TX. Job Summary: The Product Owner II is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by a Scrum Team by clearly communicating product vision, priorities, and objectives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams to ensure backlog readiness, alignment to strategy, and delivery of measurable business value within PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking organization. Work Schedule: • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST • Candidates in MST must be available by 7:00 AM MST • Candidates in CST must be available by 7:30 AM CST

Requirements

  • Experience serving as a Product Owner or similar Agile product role
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile delivery frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog
  • Experience writing clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to make data driven decisions related to scope, priority, and value
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • Certifications are often desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Own, create, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog based on business value, risk, and stakeholder input
  • Clearly communicate product vision, strategic objectives, and rationale for initiatives to the Scrum Team
  • Develop and articulate detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Lead backlog refinement activities to ensure work items are defined, estimated, and ready for development
  • Actively represents customer, user, and stakeholder needs by gathering feedback and incorporating insights into backlog priorities
  • Make informed decisions on scope, priority, and acceptance of work in alignment with the Definition of Done
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Evaluate completed work, capture feedback, and adjust priorities based on outcomes and data
  • Measure product performance and ensure delivery of measurable business value
  • Maintain and communicate a transparent, evolving product roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and team capacity
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and expectations to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Owns the vision and the definition of the product.
  • Serves as the voice of the customer.
  • Provides guidance to concentrate the Scrum Team(s) effort on correct priorities based on business value.
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to meet business objectives.
  • Accountable for the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog.
  • Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog.
  • Works in partnership with the Scrum Master(s) to ensure items are worked on in accordance with the product backlog.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for questions from the team(s).
  • Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Teams(s).
  • Reviews and validates Scrum Team(s) working product.
  • Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to various stakeholders.
