Medtronic's Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business works together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for remote patient monitoring, blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications. Our vision is to empower patient safety - anytime, anywhere. We are seeking a Product Owner to support our Digital Health mobile portfolio, servicing US Veterans Affairs and commercially, hospitals . This role owns software mobile application solutions that enable clinicians to remotely monitor veterans with chronic conditions in their homes or commercially in the hospital. You’ll lead meaningful products at the intersection of technology and healthcare. As a Product Owner, you will be accountable for understanding and prioritizing features in a backlog for mobile application product lines to determine the appropriate features for the roadmap based on the defined Digital Health vision. The Product Owner will also closely collaborate with Marketing, translate voice of customer (VoC) and synthesize needs to features for delivery in a release. You’ll partner closely with Product Management and cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize delivery, and ensure high quality execution in an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant work experience OR Master’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree with 4-6+ years relevant experience in product ownership, software development, product delivery, project management, and/or business analysis OR Masters degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience working with software-based products (Mobile, UX/UI, SaaS, IT, or digital platforms)
  • Experience combining project management and business analysis
  • Ability to quickly understand complex system behaviors, engineering problems, technical and architectural constraints.
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated environments (nice to have)
  • PMP or similar certification (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for intake of needs from Marketing and the field, and closely connecting with the customer to understand the value and problem to solve.
  • Responsible for deep engagement with the customer to understand the needs being presented and subsequently, build the desired behavior of the features based on the customer feedback
  • Partner with Marketing and Program Management to define and execute the product roadmap
  • Serve as the primary liaison across engineering, clinical, quality, regulatory, and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define customer, system, and product software requirements
  • Translate product strategy and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements and deliverable increments
  • Collaborate with the architects and business analyst to define technical and design discovery required for a feature
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align with business objectives and customer needs
  • Work with Agile teams (developers, business analysts, scrum masters, QA , testers) to deliver software enhancements and new product capabilities
  • Support the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software solutions across platforms, including operating systems, cloud‑based, and internet‑enabled technologies
  • Influence system and hardware design decisions to ensure compatibility, scalability, and performance
  • Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies, including two‑week sprints and SAFe/PI planning, backlog refinement and sizing
  • Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to improve efficiency and performance
  • Provide final sign‑off on delivered features to confirm requirements and objectives are met
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and communicate product capabilities, status, and portfolio alignment
  • Support occasional domestic customer or site visits to inform product and design decisions
