About The Position

The Product Owner, Business Intelligence for the Business Analytics & Technology Team will play a critical role in defining and prioritizing the product backlog for business intelligence solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Product Owner will leverage Agile methodologies to ensure that the solutions delivered meet customer needs and business objectives. A successful candidate for this role must have a diverse set of skills and qualities. Firstly, they must have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and prior experience working in an Agile environment. The candidate should have prior product management experience and a track record of delivering successful solutions. In addition, the candidate should have a customer-focused approach, with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into product requirements and features. A technical background, particularly in business intelligence or data analytics, is desirable. Strong communication and collaboration skills, problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, adaptability, and leadership skills are also important qualities for this role. The candidate should have a passion for BI technology and a strong desire to stay up to date on industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on Agile methodologies
• Proven experience in developing business intelligence solutions or similar data-driven products
• Strong understanding of business intelligence platforms and data visualization techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform product decisions
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and best practices
• Bachelor's degree; preferably in in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology

Nice To Haves

• Excellent working knowledge of Azure DevOps
• Microsoft Azure Cloud (Data Factory, Sql DB, AAS, etc.)
• PowerBI & PowerApps
• Strong SQL & DAX language skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategy and roadmaps for business intelligence solutions, aligned with company goals and customer needs
• Translate the product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of users and technology
• Manage the product backlog for business intelligence solutions, ensuring it is clear, focused, and prioritized
• Manage epics, features, and user stories to be completed by delivery teams aligned to the product's vision
• Collaborate with DevOps and the BI development teams to ensure business intelligence solutions meet customer and business needs
• Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior management and customers
• Work with user-focused departments to define the self-service user experience and support requirements
