About The Position

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is seeking a Product Operations Manager/Sr. Product Operations Manager to join our Product Operations Team. Product Operations enable the achievement of product and business outcomes. Product Operations is responsible for process improvement design, tooling, automation, and leading all related cross-functional work and communication. All members of the Product Operations team are expected to continuously enhance operational processes, seek feedback on current processes, identify opportunities to optimize workflows, and work cross-functionally to implement optimizations. This role partners with their assigned Product team on top business initiatives, acting as a strategic enabler by driving operational clarity, optimizing processes, and ensuring cross-functional alignment to accelerate decision-making and execution.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Product Operations and/or Product Management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent cross-company projects.
  • Effectively influences without authority.
  • Consistently applies a resourceful, solution-oriented approach to complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and consult across teams.
  • Proven track record in leveraging analytics and driving process improvements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Pendo, JPD, Power BI and JIRA.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Product Operations and/or Product Management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Skilled in leveraging voice of market insights and roadmap planning tools.
  • Familiarity with data-driven storytelling and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, or Looker.
  • A background working for a SaaS or software company.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously enhance operational processes.
  • Drive change, resulting in business processes that streamline operations.
  • Collaborate through proactive communication and coordination with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
  • Oversee and manage the product management tool stack specific to their areas of ownership.
  • Champion data literacy & data-driven decision-making within the Product organization.
  • Mentor and coach Product Management teams on best practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Develop training materials, templates, and documentation to support internal product teams.
  • Lead and manage high-priority, cross-functional projects across the entire Product Development Lifecycle.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on success metrics and drive achievement of those metrics.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of metrics and necessary instrumentation into GTM and Post-Launch processes.
  • Communicate critical issues, risks, and decisions to leadership.
  • Resolve cross-functional issues within projects and programs effectively.
  • Develop insightful recommendations that align with and support the achievement of product team goals.
  • Help define, document, establish and exemplify best practices for product operations.
  • Mentor team members, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Benefits

  • Targeted starting base salary in the United States ranges from $100,000 - $140,000.
  • Eligibility to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
