About The Position
As this is a hybrid role working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidate who currently reside in Northeast Ohio. The Product Analyst is responsible for supporting their manager in developing, communicating, and executing annual/multi-year strategic plans for a Celebrations product category (e.g., Greeting Cards, Gift Packaging, Party Goods/Decorations, Stickers, or Stationery). The Analyst will stay in-tune with and ahead of consumer needs, product trends, the competitive environment and margin/cost factors.
Responsibilities
- Supports development of master product catalogue (including size, contents, price mix, and COGS) and collaborates with Occasion and Creative teams to add new items to master catalogue as needed
- Responsible for analyzing point-of-sale data, consumer research, retail observations, industry trends, etc., to inform price and format mix within a master catalogue as well as product refresh
- Gathers and organizes insights in a manner that guides strategic thinking and retail strategy development
- Understands the key drivers of perceived value and cost of goods for assigned category
- Responsible for the on-time and accurate delivery of occasion line lists, consisting of documentation of key item-level information
- Supports cost management efforts for assigned category
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on simplification
