About The Position

This role requires a talented marketing professional with experience with Life and Annuity products sold through Broker/Dealers (B/Ds), Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Brokerage General Agencies (BGAs). In this role, you will provide quality service to distribution partners, manage and develop impactful marketing plans targeting consumers and our distribution intermediaries as well as support the distribution channels dedicated to these products. This role will both create marketing assets as well as partner with distribution and channel partners on the sale of the products. We seek a strategic and dynamic self-starter with a well-rounded foundation of cross-discipline marketing skills, and the ability to adapt them to a rapidly evolving marketing organization. The ability to be a liaison with internal product lines and strike the right balance of client service, consulting and execution with a strong roll-up your sleeves and ‘get it done’ mentality. This motivating individual must be able to think at a high-level and guide fast implementation and measurement. Responsibilities include but not limited to: 60% Responsible for marketing campaigns for existing products and programs, launching new product initiatives, value add programs and distribution partners. Creation of new client and advisor material, including compliance review and internal agency design Research and evaluate needs to influence distribution and create marketing recommendations suitable to reach sales goals Implement marketing campaigns by developing innovative and effective tactics in partnership with internal and corporate departments, and vendors as necessary while managing marketing projects from start to finish Demonstrate measurable deliverables against KPIs. Make new recommendations based on results achieved, resources, and servicing needs Apply marketing innovation 30% Support growth and sales of individual life and annuity product, through independent and proprietary channel partners. 10% Manage, develop and implement related projects as directed.

Requirements

  • Excellent strategic skills in a fast-moving environment – including critical thinking, problem solving, managing conflicting priorities and delivering to a deadline.
  • Knowledge of the latest marketing innovations
  • Exceptional communication skills in a variety of media
  • Ability to grasp complex financial concepts and communicate them effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel as needed to support sales
  • At least two years of experience within a Marketing/Communications role
  • Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadens capabilities
  • Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers
  • Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline
  • Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within financial services, especially individual life and annuities
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Marketing or Journalism
  • FINRA Series 6 license, and 63 license or willing to obtain
