About The Position

Lord Abbett's product management team leads the firm's business strategy for its products from launch to market ready to market leading and we are looking for a Product Specialist to join this dynamic team. The role involves developing and maintaining market-ready products within assigned capabilities. Responsibilities also include developing and refining investment product narratives and marketing collateral that drives sales engagement; training our sales force on how to present our products to prospects, intermediaries, and clients; aggressively driving internal and external awareness of our products and their repeatable edge; authoring product commentaries and select market insight papers for publication and engaging with select prospects as needed to promote our products with deep understanding.

Requirements

  • Fluency in fixed income investment products and the asset management industry
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing alternative credit / private credit products
  • Strong content creation skills in pitchbooks, bespoke materials, and multiple media formats, with the ability to distill complex ideas and topics effectively
  • Experience creating effective product and capital markets-related content
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and client engagement skills
  • Proactive approach to work and learning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Situational adaptability and organizational savvy
  • Series 7 and Series 24 registrations or willing to attain within 1 year of hire
  • CFA and/or CAIA preference

Responsibilities

  • Craft investment product narratives, market-specific positioning, and collateral for assigned products
  • Own how our products are represented across all markets and mediums
  • Position our products through standard portfolio commentaries and questionnaire responses
  • Communicate a deep understanding of how our portfolios are managed to prospects through select client engagement, webinars, and insight papers
  • Author content that drives the sales process, including standard language that will be leveraged for RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and consultant databases
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with investors and client services teams
  • Lead product-specific training for a wide range of audiences
