As a Product Marketing Manager, you will coordinate sales activities and product management in EMEA to contribute to the achievement of the company's sales targets. This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long-term growth and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar and our suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Successful experience (minimum 2 years) in sales and/or product management.
  • Analytical skills to develop strategic, data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to develop and grow positive relationships with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.) and suppliers.
  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage diverse and significant workloads.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • Understanding of working in an international environment
  • You are fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmaceutical Ingredients (raw chemicals) industry experience preferred.
  • Bonus points for candidates fluent in any other European languages.
  • Knowledge of SAP is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business relationships with suppliers, including mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial, and logistical strategies.
  • Support and lead the negotiation of pricing and buying plans.
  • Close partnership with procurement, finance, and accounts payable to resolve supplier issues and remove supply chain obstacles.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, push products, and supplier engagement.
  • Provide regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products and coordinate training with suppliers for both technical and commercial topics.
  • Provide mentorship to the sales teams and others on day-to-day issues, e.g., pricing, service, procurement, and supply.
  • Facilitate business growth and communications relevant to the assigned market.
