Position Summary Westman Atelier is seeking a highly organized, detail-orientated Product Marketing Intern to join our New York–based team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and curious - someone who enjoys digging into competitive landscapes, tracking industry trends, and supporting thoughtful product launches that come to life across key retail partners. In this role, you will support day-to-day Product and Trade Marketing initiatives, including conducting market research, and monitoring trends, with a particular focus on creating compelling in-store and digital experiences. You will play a key role in supporting product launches and channel-specific activations by maintaining the Master Calendar and Product Item Master, assisting in the creation and upkeep of launch toolkits, and asset/copy support. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, luxury beauty brand, in a behind the scenes role that helps bring our genre defining products to life. This internship will be between 20-30 hours per week (depending on candidate), and ideally will be from February to July.

Requirements

  • NYC preferred
  • Prior experience interning for product marketing, trade marketing, and/or brand marketing departments
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
  • This is a remote first position, with some expectation to be in person at our NYC office

Nice To Haves

  • Brand experience and/or working in beauty is a bonus!
  • Startup experience or working closely with a brand founder, a plus
  • Strong passion and knowledge of the beauty industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support competitive analysis for New Product Development (NPD) by working with pricing, fill size, packaging, and positioning to help ensure new launches are aligned with category and market benchmarks.
  • Assist in monitoring industry and category trends, including product marketing approaches and retail-specific activations across the beauty landscape.
  • Work within DAASH and other tools to help pull competitive brand data and insights across the Sephora landscape for internal reporting and launch planning.
  • Support product launches and channel-specific activations
  • Contribute to product launches and channel-specific activations by helping track timelines, gathering assets, and assisting with cross-functional coordination.
  • Help maintain and update the Master Calendar and Product Item Master to ensure product details, launch dates, and internal information remain accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in the creation and organization of new launch toolkits, including assets, copy, key product information, and internal reference materials.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support as needed, including assisting with FedEx shipments, label creation, and coordinating sampling and product send-outs.
