About The Position

Rubrik’s Marketing Team is growing and we’re looking for individuals to join us at one of the most pivotal moments in our journey. Our team breaks boundaries and challenges the status quo, innovating along the way. We embrace a culture of opportunity and empowerment, allowing team members to take their best ideas and see them to fruition, while constantly exploring one-of-a-kind strategies. Come be part of a team bringing a fresh perspective to data security. Join us and let’s be unstoppable, together. As a Product Marketing Intern on the Platform team, you would report to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Platform and work on Go-To-Market strategy for Rubrik's flagship platform story — how we position the only intelligent cyber resilience solution that unifies data, identity, and AI. You'll gain experience across competitive intelligence, messaging and positioning, sales enablement, and product launch execution, working cross-functionally with product, sales, demand generation, and marketing leadership. Rubrik offers interns an opportunity to make an impact from day one. Our interns work on challenging projects, where their contributions help solve real-world problems related to personal privacy, business continuity, and digital safety. Interns learn from the best in the industry, building connections with senior team members who support their development through 1:1 mentorship. Alongside the meaningful work, interns are fully immersed in Rubrik's inclusive community through social events, networking opportunities, professional development workshops, and volunteering events.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration or demonstrated interest in product marketing, technology strategy, or B2B go-to-market
  • Expected graduation: Spring 2027
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives — whether in a written brief, a polished deck, or a live presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Skilled at conducting market research and competitive analysis, synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative data, and translating findings into a clear "so what" with actionable, prioritized recommendations
  • Genuine enthusiasm for cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and AI — you don't need to be a domain expert on day one, but you ramp quickly, ask sharp questions, and stay on top of emerging trends
  • You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments — proactively identifying opportunities, framing problems, and driving work forward without waiting to be told what to do
  • Natural relationship builder who operates effectively at the intersection of product, sales, engineering, and demand generation — you know how to align diverse stakeholders and move initiatives forward

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in product marketing, management consulting, product management, or a technical B2B environment
  • Familiarity with go-to-market frameworks, positioning and messaging development, or sales enablement
  • Exposure to the cybersecurity or enterprise technology landscape through coursework, prior roles, or personal interest

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze the competitive landscape across cyber resilience, data protection, and AI security — synthesizing findings into actionable insights that sharpen Rubrik's platform positioning and differentiation.
  • Help develop and refine platform messaging and value propositions that resonate with both technical practitioners and C-Suite executives, pressure-testing narratives with internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of sales enablement assets — such as battlecards, one-pagers, pitch decks, and competitive objection-handling guides — that help a global sales force land Rubrik's platform story.
  • Partner with product marketing and demand generation to support a platform-level product launch or campaign initiative, gaining exposure to the end-to-end mechanics of a high-velocity GTM motion.
  • Own a strategic capstone project scoped to a real business need — such as a market segment analysis, buyer persona deep-dive, or emerging use case messaging framework — and present findings and recommendations to product marketing leadership.

Benefits

  • Meaningful projects: the opportunity to translate your education into hands-on professional experience through rigorous, yet rewarding work
  • Growth and development: take advantage of extensive growth opportunities through mentoring, job shadowing, workshops, lunch n’ learns, and hands-on project work that supports both your personal and professional development.
  • A dedicated manager & mentor: a team that will provide you with guidance and support regularly
  • Intern events: the opportunity to participate in networking events, volunteering opportunities, and social events
  • Access to free mental health services, lunch stipend, optional 401K benefits, company-wide intern presentations, intern swag, and more!
