About The Position

The Product Manager is responsible for conducting research, making recommendations to product development. This position will review and implement new product features for existing lines. Daily activities include, but are not limited to, product loss analysis, rate development, competitor review, filing research, and trend/market data analysis. Works in coordination with actuarial consultants, product management, underwriting, claims, marketing and business systems on enhancements, priorities, and implementations. This position may be responsible for a specific state product line such as condo, rental, dwelling, or homeowners.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience working in the insurance industry
  • OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
  • May be required to possess a valid state of Florida drivers license
  • Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
  • Knowledge of Company products and business objectives
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and applicable department and organization specific software and ability to learn and become proficient in the use of other specialized software as may be required
  • Skill in organization and attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Skill in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Ability to correctly interpret and efficiently implement all applicable policies and procedures
  • Ability to use reasoning skills that minimize duplication of efforts, including but not limited to comparing, classifying, analyzing, and coordinating
