About The Position

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience leading elements of the product development life-cycle such as product outlook, product road map and strategy, gathering requirements, and product launch.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to the leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product outlook, product roadmap and strategy, driving requirements, and product launch.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an engaging outlook for the Google Photos life-cycle, identifying new opportunities at cloud storage.
  • Develop solutions for problems that have impact on Google Photos.
  • Build consensus with tech leads and the managers across multiple teams (e.g., engineering, UX, Legal, and Marketing) to ensure a product direction.
  • Incorporate and drive best practices in universal product development, including privacy, security, and responsible innovation, ensuring all business generation strategies meet Google’s standards.
  • Develop and secure buy-in for a product outlook that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts.
