About The Position
The Optimization team within the Orchestration and Planning Tech (OPT) STO is responsible for selecting the optimal fulfillment plan throughout the customer purchase journey at Wayfair. This involves designing algorithms and building scalable systems that select the fulfillment plan and optimize orders as they move through the fulfillment process to ensure the best possible customer outcomes. Within Optimization, the Plan Outputs team plays a critical role as the interface between Supply Chain Technology and external consumers of the fulfillment plan. Once a fulfillment plan is selected, the Plan Outputs team ensures that this information is accurately and efficiently communicated to teams within and outside of Supply Chain Tech - including Storefront, Browse, and third-party partners like Google. By enabling real-time fulfillment plan communication across these systems, the Plan Outputs team ensures that customers receive clear, reliable delivery expectations throughout their shopping journey, directly influencing trust, conversion, and satisfaction.
