About The Position

The Product Manager, Innovation Gene Editing at Aldevron is responsible for leading product management initiatives within the Protein Product Management Team. This role involves defining portfolio strategies, advancing product pipelines, and launching new products to market. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to drive long-term revenue and margin growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing or product management, including experience in the life science, biologics, or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept through commercialization.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of influencing and collaborating across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with a focus on building strong customer relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced technical credential is highly desirable.
  • Experience in cell and gene therapy or adjacent industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead user needs and design specifications for new product initiatives, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and service targets are met.
  • Champion early-stage product development by developing business cases to drive long-term revenue and margin growth.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through comprehensive market research and foster robust customer relationships.
  • Develop and communicate product insights, positioning, and value propositions across the organization, aligning with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain subject matter expertise in product lines and target markets through regular analysis of trends, competitive landscape, channels, and industry standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Commercial, Quality) to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Product Management to support decisions regarding product lifecycle, ensuring strategic alignment and successful product transitions.
