About The Position

The Product Manager for Electro-Voice Portable Sound at Bosch is responsible for driving sustainable growth and managing the entire product lifecycle within the portable sound segment. This role involves market evaluation, product strategy development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product introduction and lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in product management, project management, or product development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in the Professional Audio industry and/or electronics product development experience.
  • Knowledge of key marketing principles and ability to analyze markets and competition.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global organization and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Solid working knowledge of market research and sales promotion activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to recommend solutions based on data.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Ability to generate financial analysis relating to product costs and market opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with portable PA systems, amplifiers, and audio system design.
  • Familiarity with predictive software and consulting in audio systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the market landscape and implement strategies to enhance market presence.
  • Conduct voice of customer and end-user feedback sessions.
  • Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and prioritize product development plans.
  • Consult with engineering regarding product features and requirements.
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Manage global product portfolio and evaluate market potential for new products.
  • Analyze market trends and identify customer needs.
  • Define target markets and generate market data including competitor analysis.
  • Initiate the Product Engineering Process and support throughout all procedural stages.
  • Work with external parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in product development from concept to manufacturing.
  • Ensure product data sheets accurately reflect product specifications.
  • Deliver product messaging and positioning for end-users and customers.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to prepare educational materials for sales teams.
  • Create and disseminate marketing collateral to relevant parties.
  • Plan trade shows and create effective demonstrations.
  • Train sales force and dealer firms on product capabilities.
  • Communicate technical requirements to engineering staff and approve Engineering Change Orders.
  • Develop and manage product mid-life correction or end-of-life strategies.
  • Monitor market acceptance and track revenue and profit performance.
  • Identify partnering opportunities for complementary products.
  • Negotiate contracts and licenses for new technologies.
  • Meet with procurement and inventory control staff to coordinate product build and sales forecasts.
