About The Position

The Local Product Manager Transaction Services in New York is responsible for building up local capabilities, unlocking business potential and activating new client/market opportunities for ING WB's multinational Corporate and Financial Institution customers operating in the United States of America. You work in close cooperation with the other TS Product Managers, colleagues in TS Sales and other stakeholders in- and outside of ING, Client Services, Operations, IT and Risk Management counterparts. You represent your country in the TS Product Management Network, which covers TS Product Management in Europe and Asia. You will share a responsibility with the local TS Sales team to improve ING's performance, measured through customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities to better serve and delight our customers. In addition, you are responsible to translate customer needs and market trends concerning ‘Daily Banking' solutions into concrete proposals and tailored solutions. As Local Product Manager Transaction Services you report functionally to the Head of Product Management Network and hierarchically to the Head of Transaction Services Sales Americas.

Requirements

  • Higher education or University education (Bachelor or Master's degree) preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent level in English both written and verbal.
  • 10+ years of work experience in servicing and advising multinational clients in Transaction Services.
  • Sound understanding of daily banking products (Cash and Trade), Client Servicing and related client needs.
  • Proven track record in product and/or program management.
  • Ability to steer and guide large and complex projects or changes.
  • Strong organizational sensitivity skills.
  • Style flexibility with teams and individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Active in cross-border interaction within and outside the Transaction Services domain.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and develop the PCM offering to attract customers.
  • Design, develop & operate PCM solutions for clients.
  • Ensure enhanced customer experience throughout the customer journey.
  • Take ownership of risk management and follow appropriate procedures.
  • Focus on cost efficiency to compete in the market.
  • Set priorities based on customer needs supported by business cases.
  • Participate in high-performing teams and remove impediments.
  • Execute risk & control compliance and mitigate business and operational risks.
  • Maintain contact with external parties and stakeholders.
  • Collect relevant industry-related trends and information.
  • Develop and propose strategies for project-related tasks.
  • Represent Wholesale Banking Transaction Services in Incident Management processes.
