About The Position

Bosch eBike Systems, the current market leader for premium electric bike (eBike) drivetrain components in Europe, is growing quickly in North America as more bicycle brands sell eBikes 'epowered by Bosch'. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our digital solutions and connected devices in North America. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and collaborating on the delivery of innovative features that bridge the physical and digital worlds, creating a seamless and enriched experience for our riders. You will work at the intersection of hardware, software, data, and user experience, collaborating closely with engineering, development, marketing, sales and our business partners to bring our vision to life.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on connected devices, IoT, mobile applications, and/or digital platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of the product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Experience working with hardware-enabled software products is a significant plus.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform product decisions.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive solutions.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for cycling, electric bikes, or sustainable mobility is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy for connected devices and digital solutions that aligns with the overall company objectives and rider needs.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and gather user insights to identify unmet needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation within the ebike connected ecosystem.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into clear, concise, and detailed product specifications and user stories for engineering and design teams.
  • Work closely with a diverse range of teams including Engineering, Design, Marketing & Sales, Customer Support, and Business Development.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for connected features and digital solutions. Monitor performance, analyze data, and iterate on products based on user feedback and usage patterns.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IoT, connectivity, data analytics, and digital platforms relevant to the ebike, sporting goods and broader mobility sectors.
  • Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal stakeholders at all levels.
