The Job: As a Product Manager you’ll be part of our DEWALT team working as a hybrid employee. Product Management oversees product lifecycles, aligning with customer needs and business goals. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, market analysis, stakeholder engagement, resource & financial management, and project leadership. Success depends on strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • Effective cross-functional skills and communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience

Responsibilities

  • End-User & Stakeholder Engagement: Gather and analyze customer feedback and ensure product requirements and improvements are prioritized. Increase on-site user observation for strategic roadmaps. Identify innovation opportunities through user engagement and social media analysis. Monitor user behavior through onsite visits and interviews, analyze and report on usage trends, and identify opportunities for future product solutions. Build relationships with stakeholders, support customer meetings and presentations, and turn consumer insights into actionable programs.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitor benchmarking for Mechanical power tools, maintaining a keen awareness of industry trends and integrating insights into product launches. Support market functions for assigned product lines. Lead the conception and execution of our range of tools for the Mechanical Trades as well as range out the full suite of key needs for this critical end user group, ensuring purposeful and enhanced communication across all touchpoints—including product, technical materials, point-of-purchase displays, digital assets, and end-user interactions.
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Support product strategy and execution for mechanical tools, collaborating with global teams throughout the product lifecycle. Contribute to new product development, quality initiatives, and promotional programs. Coordinate the mechanical tool platform for fabrication HVAC-R, commercial mechanical work, analyze market trends, and support the MEP leadership team to drive growth through innovative products and solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to drive product development and launches, while supporting channel and sales strategy alignment.
  • Training & Adaptability: Provide product training, lead peers through change, and respond to shifting priorities.
  • Financial Planning & Performance Tracking: Develop business cases, set pricing, monitor product performance, and manage P&L for assigned lines.
  • Analytical & Business Skills: Collet and interpret data, trends, and financials to drive decisions; manage costs and product complexity; analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication & Influence: Good written/verbal communication, presentation skills, and ability to apply end-user insights and influence others.
  • Organization & Planning: Effective time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization.
  • Initiative & Attitude: Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, logical thinker, and proactive problem solver.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
