About The Position

The Product Manager for the Data Platform at Beeswax, a Comcast company, is responsible for managing the pricing, packaging, delivery, and documentation of new product ideas within the Data Platform Engineering (DPE) team. This role focuses on building features across demand-side logging and reporting products, driving complex cross-team initiatives, and ensuring high-quality product delivery. As an individual contributor, the position does not involve direct supervision of staff but requires collaboration with various teams to launch new services and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in product management or related roles.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Looker, Airflow, and dbt.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python and Java/Scala is a plus.
  • Understanding of the advertising technology ecosystem and industry-level forces affecting ad tech companies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AdTech, specifically with Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) and Real-Time Bidding (RTB).
  • Ability to write highly articulate and carefully considered product specifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic data infrastructure design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pricing, packaging, delivery, and documentation of new product ideas for the DPE team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new services, features, and enhancements on time and within budget.
  • Gather input to define product concepts and justify expenditures for products.
  • Define and analyze markets, evaluate technologies, and develop detailed product features and requirements.
  • Participate in product modification, cost reduction, margin analysis, advertising and promotion, forecasting, product positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Accountable for profit and loss or budgetary management for assigned products.
  • Direct the product planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, inventory requirements, and materials availability.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures needed to achieve goals.
  • Develop, mentor, and train Specialists to ensure department work performance and objectives are met.
  • Manage, gather, and analyze competitive intelligence data for product lines.
  • Provide product support and documentation and develop product materials.
