Product Manager, Codex Security
About The Position
OpenAI Security Products builds systems that help defenders better understand and respond to software threats. We are exploring how AI and automation can accelerate complex security workflows such as malware investigation, artifact analysis, and threat intelligence generation. We are looking for a Product Manager to help shape and execute on this vision. This role works closely with security researchers and engineers to turn advanced analysis capabilities into reliable, scalable products. The position sits in a tight loop between product management and security research, helping translate deep technical capabilities into tools that security teams can use effectively.
Requirements
- Experience building or managing technical products, especially in security, infrastructure, or developer tooling.
- Strong ability to collaborate with highly technical teams and translate research ideas into product direction.
- Clear thinking about product goals, metrics, and strategy.
- Comfort working in fast-moving environments where product direction evolves alongside research.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with malware analysis, threat intelligence, and security research workflows.
- Hands-on software engineering experience
- Experience with AI-driven systems or developer-focused tools.
- Technical background in systems, networking, or software security.
