About The Position

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, provides comprehensive ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers. Powered by premium video content, robust data, and advanced technology, we’re making it easier for buyers and sellers to transact across all screens, data types, and sales channels. As a global company, we have offices in nine countries and can insert advertisements around the world. Job Summary Freewheel’s Buyer Cloud has created the most powerful, extensible programmatic advertising API, purpose-built for sophisticated CTV and video buyers who need more than off-the-shelf DSP solutions. Our platform gives agencies and advanced buyers direct access to premium CTV and video inventory through best-in-class APIs. We’re looking for a Product Manager to take our API and developer experience strategy to the next level. Job Description What You’ll Do You'll own key aspects of our API and SDK strategy and execution, working as the bridge between our technical customers, engineering team, and business stakeholders. This means working directly with technical buyers to understand their needs, translating those into API requirements, and helping shape our versioning and developer experience strategy. You'll help define how agencies and buyers integrate and build with our platform from REST API design to SDK architecture to developer documentation. You'll contribute to decisions on API versioning, deprecation strategies, and backward compatibility. You'll help determine what capabilities we expose and how, balancing power and flexibility with usability. Who You Are Maybe you’re currently a product manager, but you may be an engineer or developer advocate who's ready to move into product. You love reading API documentation and understand it well. You've worked with APIs and SDKs enough to have opinions about what makes them good or bad. You understand developer platforms - what makes developers choose one platform over another, how to build for extensibility, and how to create tools that technical users actually want to adopt. Maybe you've contributed to open source projects and understand what it takes to build technical products that developers respect. You can talk to engineers about implementation details, then turn around and explain the business value to stakeholders. You understand REST principles, versioning strategies, SDK design patterns, and developer experience. You're comfortable with technical customers who will push you on design decisions. You think in terms of platforms, not features. You understand that good API design today means less pain tomorrow. You're ready to learn when to say no to keep the platform coherent, and when flexibility is worth the complexity. What Makes This Role Different This isn't a typical PM role where you're three layers removed from the technical decisions. You'll be in the weeds on API design, working directly with engineering on implementation, and having architecture conversations with customers. If you want to shape a platform that technical people actually respect and use, this is it Employees at all levels are expected to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job. Own the customer experience - think and act in ways that put our customers first, give them seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and make them promoters of our products and services. Know your stuff - be enthusiastic learners, users and advocates of our game-changing technology, products and services, especially our digital tools and experiences. Win as a team - make big things happen by working together and being open to new ideas. Be an active part of the Net Promoter System - a way of working that brings more employee and customer feedback into the company - by joining huddles, making call backs and helping us elevate opportunities to do better for our customers. Drive results and growth. Support a culture of inclusion in how you work and lead. Do what's right for each other, our customers, investors and our communities.
