About The Position

Acer is expanding its portfolio of high-performance computing products to meet the growing demand for AI development, training, and enterprise deployment. As the Product Manager for AI Workstations & Servers, you will own the strategy, definition, and lifecycle of Acer’s AI-focused hardware solutions, including Acer/Altos GPU workstations, rack-scale server platforms, and AI appliance systems. This role will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, global sales, services teams, and channel partners to deliver competitive, innovative AI platforms for enterprise, government, education, and research customers.

Requirements

  • BBA or related degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, server/workstation hardware, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and tools.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with GPU architectures and accelerator ecosystems.
  • Strong background with server and workstation design.
  • Expertise with AI workloads (training, fine-tuning, inference, LLMs, simulation).
  • Experience collaborating with ODM/OEM partners.
  • Ability to translate customer workloads into hardware requirements.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency with UX such as designing user-friendly, trustworthy, and ethical AI interactions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Build the multi-year roadmap for Acer’s AI workstation and server portfolio. Align with GPU and accelerator vendors (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD) and CPU partners (Intel, AMD). Identify market opportunities in enterprise AI, edge AI, research computing, and AI data centers. Lead competitive analysis across global OEMs to define Acer’s differentiation strategy.
  • Product Planning & Definition Create PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) for AI workstations and servers. Define specifications such as: GPU/accelerator count and power budgets CPU architecture, memory channels, PCIe topology Storage tiers (NVME, U.2/U.3, hybrid) Networking options (25/100/200/400GbE, InfiniBand) Cooling and power solutions Work with engineering teams at Acer and manufacturing partners to translate requirements into validated products.
  • Go-to-Market & Launch Develop launch plans and messaging for Acer’s global and regional markets. Define SKU strategy, localization requirements, and regional certifications. Support marketing with content: datasheets, competitive positioning, performance metrics. Collaborate with global sales teams to equip them with pricing, training, and demos.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement Work with enterprise customers, research institutes, system integrators, and resellers to gather requirements and feedback. Provide technical and business justification for customer bids and RFPs. Collaborate with software partners (AI frameworks, orchestration platforms, distributed training stacks).
  • Lifecycle & Operations Management Monitor product performance, supply chain status, and BOM cost optimization. Manage transitions from engineering samples to mass production. Oversee firmware/software updates, stability improvements, and post-launch enhancements.
