About The Position

The Product Management Specialist position at Magnaflux leverages a deep understanding of customer needs, product and applications expertise, excellent communication skills, and data proficiency to support the delivery of product development activities and decisions that maintain Magnaflux's position in the market as a premium supplier of NDT solutions. The primary responsibilities of the Product Management Specialist include working closely with the responsible Product Manager(s) and cross-functional teams throughout product development and annual pricing processes, and providing recommendations based on data to inform decisions made by Product Manager(s) for the defined product lines. This is achieved through an understanding of Magnaflux's product lines, customers, and applications, gained through personal NDT experience, knowledge of internal processes and tools, and the analysis of data and trends. The Product Management Specialist is also responsible for providing regular communication and support to Magnaflux Product Management, Sales, Marketing, customers, and distributors.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • The ability and willingness to analyze data and recommend decisions for approval by the responsible Product Manager.
  • Must have a basic understanding and appreciation for chemicals and/or engineered equipment.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related science, technical, or engineering field, plus 1-2 years of experience in R D, marketing, product management, engineering, or sales within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • An advanced technical or business degree is a plus.
  • Must have a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Experience with the stage gate process, competitive analysis, market research, and/or trend analysis is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Basic financial acumen is an advantage (revenue, margin, cost analysis, pricing & discounts).
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, particularly when it comes to data analysis, visualization, and communication.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Power BI or a similar visualization tool is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Product Manager(s) with data analysis and recommendations to manage the entire life cycle of the defined product line within the business, from strategic planning, product definition, tactical launch activities, and end of life.
  • Operate as an internal voice of our customer across development teams (primarily R D, Operations, and Marketing) through an understanding of market requirements, product definition, and launch activities.
  • Execute product management responsibilities on projects related to updates and changes to existing products, such as new packaging, label updates, and supply chain/sourcing changes.
  • Assist in performing market research and customer insights to monitor and understand trends, pricing, competitors, and safety regulations, to identify growth and new product opportunities.
  • Manage Salesforce, Power BI, and Excel-based data for the Product Management team.
  • Provide annual pricing support through pricing spreadsheet management, ensuring accurate data integration and extraction from CRM and ERP systems.
  • Support Product Manager(s) with data analysis to make decisions about pricing and individual customer contracts based on the latest costs and margins.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with technical expertise and tools to meet business objectives.
  • Assist Customer Service and Sales teams with technical and customer support.
  • Interface with internal departments, including R D, operations, engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams, to ensure stage gate project goals are achieved.
  • Leverage aspects of the ITW Business Model - 80/20, USa, PLS, and cost savings - in all aspects of product management and data analysis.
  • Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation Information: $70,000-$85,000 based on experience.
