About The Position

Fontaine Modification Company, part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Product Management/Marketing Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Marketing team on various projects, reporting directly to the President while gaining exposure to broader business teams. Interns will engage in a capstone project over the summer, culminating in a presentation to business leadership. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in product management and marketing, with a focus on strategic assessment, customer needs, market trends, and product lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Graduate degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field
• Rising junior or senior
• Strong interest in applying sales/marketing knowledge to practical problems
• Ability to comply with deadlines
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Interest in technology and process improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• No previous experience required

Responsibilities

• Support strategic assessment work
• Uncover and assess customer needs and trends
• Explore market, especially technology advancements and trends
• Conduct competitive analysis including pricing, features, and benefits
• Assess company core competencies and gaps
• Support Voice of Customer (VOC) events
• Summarize key issues and opportunities from research and assessment work
• Engage in product lifecycle management exercises
• Support new product development projects
• Assist in commercializing a new product
• Support campaign development and communications planning efforts
• Assist with digital marketing efforts
• Support trade shows and customer event planning
