About The Position

Wise product management intern- Purposes Our purpose [of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, S&I] is to help youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven. As a Product Manager Intern, you'll play a vital role in advancing this purpose by ensuring the tools that support our global student body are effective, intuitive, and inspiring. You'll work on WISE, our flagship software product that serves over 1 million students worldwide—the largest student body in the Church, bigger than BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, and Ensign College combined. Through your efforts to improve user experiences, launch new features, and contribute to innovative projects—including those involving AI—you'll help educators and students stay focused on what matters most: learning and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. This role is an important contributing member of the team. This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department. Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter. Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. The Intern receives assignments from supervising staff. The Manager reviews the Intern's work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed. The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol are also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real-world projects that span the entire product lifecycle.
  • Explore cutting-edge technology, including projects involving AI and data-driven solutions.
  • Own one or more projects that result in launching a new or enhanced feature.
  • Analyze user feedback, write and track bug tickets, and assist with feature launches.
  • Create onboarding and training content to improve user experience.
  • Provide support and communication to users and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Collaborate with experienced product managers who will mentor you and help you grow.
  • Partner with the WISE product manager and other product managers to enhance and optimize WISE, our core student information system.
  • Learn and apply agile product development practices in a real-world setting.
