About The Position

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Knee Preservation Product team is seeking an intern to support the strategy, execution, and marketing of cutting-edge sports medicine solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in product lifecycle management, competitive analysis, market research, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, research, marketing, and medical education teams. The selected student will contribute to projects that help shape the future of knee preservation technologies and gain valuable exposure to the commercialization process within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. This is an exciting opportunity for the high energy individual that would like to explore an opportunity in the orthopedics industry. Use your excellent communications, business and/or science background to experience the medical device business at its highest level. This internship will run from May 2026 - August 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Requirements

  • Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
  • A college junior or above preferred. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Ability to work with and around cadaveric specimens required.
  • Intermediate to Expert computer skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
  • PowerPoint applications proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on existing and future product lines through secondary research sources.
  • Verbally communicate with our sales force conducting surveys, analyzing findings, identifying trends and formatting the data for Product Manager.
  • Utilize the IMS Hospital Supply Index Database to gather competitor sales data and provide analysis on competitive findings and trends and opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Field travel when necessary (less than 5%).
  • Work at the direction of Product Management with internal teams to produce marketing collateral and develop social media plans.
  • Build PowerPoint presentations to clearly communicate data gathered during research.
  • Present on various topics as required.
  • Coordinate product development labs.
  • Manage and develop product demos/samples.
  • Work with cadaveric specimens in the research and implementation of prototype surgical devices.
  • Assist in the development of a product launch campaign.
