YOUR ROLE AT MIRATERRA As our Product Management Co-op Student, you will be the bridge between high-level strategy and execution. You will support the Product Management team not only by conducting market research but by gathering requirements from our internal Science, Agronomy, Engineering, and Commercial teams to help define what we build next. Your role is to synthesize complex technical and business needs into actionable project plans, ensuring that our breakthrough soil intelligence technology meets the needs of our customers and the planet.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini) to streamline research, generate insights and increase efficiency
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to efficiently manage your own time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. G Suite, Slack)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in visual design, slide deck presentation or creating polished presentation materials
  • Familiarity with basic project management frameworks (e.g. timelines, Gantt charts)
  • Understanding of user research or customer discovery methods
  • Experience with project management or roadmapping tools (e.g JIRA)
  • Interest in or knowledge of soil health, food supply chains, climate, action and policy

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Requirement Gathering: Actively engage with internal stakeholders, including in-house agronomists, scientists, and the business development team, to document technical and commercial needs.
  • Market & User Research: Conduct in-depth research to build customer profiles and analyze market trends to ensure requirements are grounded in real-world opportunities.
  • Strategic Synthesis: Prepare briefs and summaries for leadership that highlight problem statements and suggest tested communication approaches.
  • Draft Iterative Product Requirements: Develop and refine product requirements through a tiered alignment process: starting with the "Big Idea," moving to high-level requirements, and concluding with detailed specifications.
  • Define Execution Roadmaps: Create and maintain project plans that include clear milestones and timelines to ensure cross-functional synchronization.
