About The Position

Imerys is the world’s leading supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions for the industry. The Product Loader position involves receiving instructions from various coordinators and supervisors to perform duties in accordance with established work procedures and shipping sheets. The role primarily focuses on loading containers and vans with bagged finished products from inventory within the warehouse, as well as unloading shuttle trucks and staging inventory. It also includes monitoring and recording warehouse inventory, reporting low or damaged products, and operating and maintaining bulk loading and mobile equipment like flatbed trucks, passenger trucks, and forklifts. The Product Loader is responsible for conducting daily inspections of the work area and equipment, reporting safety concerns, and maintaining a clean and safe environment while adhering to all Imerys safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Valid driver license is required.
  • Able to read, write, and do basic math at high school or equivalent level.
  • Wear appropriate personal safety protection.
  • Follow prescribed procedures and maintains clean and safe work area.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, Safety policies to include but not limited to Confined Space Entry, Lock-Out Tag-Out, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding/Conveyer Safety, Mobile Equipment Safety, Housekeeping, Fatigue Management.
  • Reference Imerys Kaolin Safety & Health Manual.

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions from the Inventory Coordinator, P&S Coordinator, P&S Supervisor, and Production Supervisor.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with established work procedures, master shipping sheets, and instructions given.
  • Loads containers and vans with bagged finished product from inventory within the warehouse.
  • Unloading of shuttle trucks and staging inventory according to the established KPI standards.
  • Monitor and record warehouse inventory of finished product in storage.
  • Report low inventory and damaged finished product to the Inventory Coordinator (daily).
  • Operate and maintain process (bulk loading equipment) and mobile equipment (flat bed truck, passenger truck, forklift).
  • Conduct inspection of work area and equipment (each shift).
  • Report safety concerns and maintenance repair needs using appropriate system.
  • Complete all required forms including but not limited to the "area safety inspection".
  • Maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Follows all Imerys safety procedures to include Rail Road Safety Rules and Guidelines.
  • Wears appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and any additional safety equipment required while performing work tasks.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management.
  • Wear appropriate personal safety protection, follows prescribed procedures and maintains clean and safe work area.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, Safety policies to include but not limited to Confined Space Entry, Lock-Out Tag-Out, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding/Conveyer Safety, Mobile Equipment Safety, Housekeeping, Fatigue Management.
  • Is empowered to perform duties as defined in the description to provided a service that meets the quality standard.
  • Is accountable for the Quality of the service this position provides.
  • Reports to supervisor, takes corrective action, and alerts the appropriate person(s) when quality standards are not met and are outside of this position's control.
  • Does not compromise quality and safety for quantity.
