THE ROLE: This dynamic, highly visible role drives product Quality & Reliability from concept to end of life to ensure a differentiated experience, improve customer satisfaction and build customer confidence. The suitable candidate will lead and be accountable for Quality & Reliability for all AMD datacenter CPU products. This is a high visibility role for highly experienced candidates. THE PERSON: Must have an excellent understanding of NPI flow to lead cross-functional activities across design, platform, operations, and customer system bring-up and manufacturing to meet product quality and reliability requirements.

Requirements

Comfortable dealing with cross functional teams within AMD that requires structured problem solving and strong communication skills.
Experience in structured problem solving is necessary to ask questions in various "core team" meeting setting.
Extensive experience in product quality, reliability or product engineering, preferably in semiconductor industry.
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and test flow fab, bump, assembly, test.
Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization is expected.
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar.

Responsibilities

Influencing Fab and OSAT suppliers to meet product quality requirements including NUDD (New, Unique, Different, Difficult) for future technologies.
Define and manage product reliability qualification requirements and activities.
Measure and improve outgoing product quality through product end-of-life.
Maintaining robust Quality Processes & Quality Management Systems.
Close coordination with product/test engineering team for test gap debug and coverage solution implementation.
Interface between customer facing Customer Quality Engineering and the internal NPI team.
