About The Position

The Product Manager - LV & MV Switchgear leads portfolio strategy and execution for LV switchgear/switchboards and MV switchgear offerings in an EOEM environment. You will bridge technical depth with commercial ownership in a spec-driven and project-influenced market. You will translate VOC into requirements, guide platform direction, and improve manufacturability, lead times, and profitability across commercial, industrial, oil & gas, data centers, and renewables.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in power distribution product management/product line management within an EOEM; direct experience with LV and MV switchgear strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating in specification and bid-driven environments with EPCs and consultants/specifiers.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Experience with CTO/ETO product structures, configuration rules, and factory test requirements.
  • Familiarity with applicable standards (UL/IEC/IEEE/NEMA as relevant to the product portfolio).
  • Exposure to digital/connected switchgear capabilities (metering, monitoring, communications, diagnostics).

Responsibilities

  • Own multi-year roadmap for MV and LV switchgear platforms: technology evolution, ratings coverage, modularity, and option strategy.
  • Lead VOC with specifying engineers, EPCs, end users, channel partners, and internal application engineering; convert insights into MRDs/PRDs.
  • Translate segment requirements into product strategy (e.g., uptime and maintainability for data centers; harsh environment performance for oil & gas; ruggedness and serviceability for industrial; footprint and code compliance for commercial; interconnect/protection integration for renewables).
  • Partner with engineering, test, and quality to deliver compliant, safe, reliable designs; manage trade-offs across performance, cost, and schedule.
  • Drive configuration discipline to balance flexibility with manufacturability; reduce non-standard engineering where possible.
  • Collaborate with operations to improve factory throughput, first-pass yield, and test flow; support DFM/DFA and standard work.
  • Partner with supply chain to mitigate long-lead and constrained components; qualify alternates and manage obsolescence.
  • Enable bid and spec selling: positioning, differentiators, competitive intelligence, configuration guidance, and sales/application tools.
  • Own sustaining priorities: field issues, product improvements, revision control, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Develop go-to-market and enablement content: one-lines, selection guides, configuration playbooks, training, and segment narratives.
