About The Position

Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady is seeking a motivated and experienced General Litigation / Product Liability Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years of experience handling general litigation and product liability matters. This position requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and clear, professional communication. The attorney will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm’s footprint and interact directly with clients and industry professionals. Requirements

  • Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in New Jersey, Connecticut, and/or Pennsylvania is a plus).
  • 3–8 years of experience handling general litigation and product liability matters.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Federal Court experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Managing general litigation and product liability matters from inception through resolution, independently and with supervision as appropriate.
  • Conducting file review and legal analysis of claims, defenses, and causes of action.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other litigation-related filings.
  • Handling depositions, court appearances, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Participating in trial preparation and attending trial proceedings, as necessary.
  • Conducting legal research and providing strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Retaining and working with expert witnesses.
  • Negotiating settlements and handling alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness and adherence to client guidelines.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and legal support staff.
  • Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with court and procedural requirements.
