About The Position

Product Leader – Trade Processing and Settlement Join Fidelity Investments as a Product Leader and play an essential role in driving innovation and alignment with business and industry needs, while leading the modernization of our core trade processing and settlement platforms. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to define the vision and roadmap for Trade Processing and Settlement applications. We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader eager to transform legacy systems into scalable, resilient, and user-centric experiences. Key Responsibilities Define and drive the roadmap to enable innovation and modernization of trade processing and settlement systems, ensuring strong alignment with both business objectives and industry advancements. Collaborate cross-functionally with product leaders, engineering teams, architecture, and business units to capture requirements, set modernization and innovation objectives, and prioritize backlog in alignment with the strategic vision. Analyze, reimagine, and continuously improve end-to-end workflows—including pain points, data dependencies, and user experiences—for both legacy and modernized environments by introducing thought leadership, automation, and innovative solutions. Author and validate use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria that guide both modernization Prioritize features and innovation or modernization milestones based on business needs, customer feedback, regulatory demands, and measurable data. Leverage AI analysis tools (such as Copilot and others) to accelerate analysis, workflow, and requirements documentation. Facilitate collaborative sessions to drive alignment, stakeholder engagement, and successful adoption of new solutions while supporting essential legacy operations. Monitor and report on metrics of innovation impact, modernization success, user adoption, and continuous performance improvements. Stay current with business trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes; proactively foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and modernization. Required Skills and Experience 6-8 years of product management experience covering product development, or project/product management, with a focus on modernizing or supporting trade processing and settlement platforms. Direct experience with brokerage trade processing and settlement; experience in modernization of core trade processing and settlement workflows is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in modernizing legacy systems (e.g., mainframe-to-cloud migration). Ability to translate operational processes into intuitive product requirements for engineering; proven understanding of operational workflows in brokerage trade processing and settlement is preferred. Proficient in the use of AI-powered analysis and productivity tools (such as GitHub Copilot or similar) to accelerate analysis, workflow, requirement documentation, and data-driven decision making. Data-driven approach to modernization - understanding business unit needs and translating those into actionable, incremental roadmap milestones. Demonstrated experience shaping product strategy and delivery with a modernization mindset and working with engineering teams for successful delivery. Highly effective communicator and storyteller, able create visualizations to align stakeholders and build consensus. Customer-centric and operationally savvy, with a proven understanding of how to support Trade Processing and Settlement applications. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred). Experience with agile is preferred and collaborating with cross-functional teams (including engineering, business, and architecture partners); experience with toolsets for modern product delivery (JIRA, JIRA Align, Confluence, Miro, Tableau, Copilot, or similar). Skills in COBOL or experience working with COBOL-based systems preferred. The base salary range for this position is $89,000-180,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation. Requirements

  • 6-8 years of product management experience covering product development, or project/product management, with a focus on modernizing or supporting trade processing and settlement platforms.
