The Product Lead drives product vision, strategy, and execution across three core partner agencies—MDH, DPSCS, and DJS. This role ensures alignment on goals, priorities, and success measures while facilitating collaborative design and guiding teams toward agile, user‑centered delivery. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can navigate complex, regulated environments and coach diverse stakeholders in modern product practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager, including experience in complex or regulated environments.
  • 2+ years in a Product Lead role, owning product vision, roadmap, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach non‑technical stakeholders in agile, lean, and user‑centered practices.
  • Proven success aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals and driving cross‑agency collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and strategic storytelling skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for experience in government digital services, public sector transformation, or health IT.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product strategy, ensuring clarity of vision, measurable outcomes, and alignment across MDH, DPSCS, and DJS.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment efforts, building shared understanding of core problems, user needs, and success criteria.
  • Own backlog prioritization, balancing user value, technical feasibility, policy constraints, and agency priorities.
  • Facilitate co‑design workshops, bringing together agency staff, users, and partners to collaboratively shape solutions.
  • Coach non‑technical and cross‑functional stakeholders on agile, lean, and iterative delivery practices.
  • Develop and maintain strategic artifacts, including: Core Problems & Definition of Success, Implementation Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, Staffing & Leadership Strategy.
  • Partner with engineering, design, policy, and operations teams to ensure insights translate into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, transparency, and user‑centered decision‑making across agencies.
